About

I was born in Erlangen, Germany, and have been living in the United States for the past twenty-some years , where I spend most of my time teaching and making art.  In my photographic work, I’m primarily interested in notions about how experiences of spaces are perceived, understood, and formed into memory.

In my series Mikado, I investigate how multiple photographs contextualize themselves collectively, and how their implication is changed through the eyes of each viewer’s experience with the image’s physical arrangement. My work is continually exhibited throughout the United States.
